A brand new Young Company, consisting of six young people, has been recruited to support the production of the creative work, thanks to further funding from Salford City Council Culture Team. These six individuals are either still studying or are just starting in their film and music careers and will hopefully take away valuable work experience that will set them up on their career journeys.

Rosheen O’Hanlon – Assistant Director
Rosheen is a theatre maker and facilitator based in Manchester.
Since graduation from the University of Manchester in 2022 with a first class hons degree in Drama and English Literature, they have been creating theatre and producing events within community settings such as prisons, schools, youth centres and arts organisations, including with TiPP, CHOL Theatre, Cartwheel, The Lowry, The Royal Exchange, CHOL Theatre and IAPMCR.
They are really excited to be involved in the creation and facilitation of a piece that uses innovative technology to share stories.

Jessica Ainsworth- Assistant Filmmaker
Jess is a filmmaker and videographer based in Manchester.
Currently in her final year of a Film Production degree, she has a passion for visual storytelling, social media content creation, and community focused projects. With experience in videography, motion graphics, and editing, she has worked on projects such as filming family events for Our Kids Social.
Jess is excited about creating engaging digital content and bringing stories to life through film.

Iqra Saeid- Assistant Photographer
Iqra is a photographer based in Manchester with a strong passion for diversity and inclusion, particularly inspired by her South Asian heritage.
A graduate of the University of Salford with a degree in Photography, Iqra has been actively seeking and embracing various photography opportunities since graduation, building her portfolio through freelance work. She has also collaborated with Factory International, completing their content creation course and earning a place in their directory of photographers.
Iqra’s work is driven by a desire to celebrate underrepresented voices and capture authentic cultural narratives. With a keen eye for storytelling, she aims to promote meaningful representation through her creative lens. She is excited to contribute her skills towards the What About me project and being a part of their team!

Liam Hobday- Assistant Producer
Liam is an aspiring creative in Salford with a particular interest in filmmaking and production processes.
As a student at the university of Salford, graduate of film production and current student of production management, Liam has produced and directed a range of productions from short films to sports marketing projects.
With a heritage in Salford, Liam is connected to the city through his grandfather who is a proud Salfordian. Throughout childhood, Liam was a frequent visitor to the area, falling in love with the history and culture of the city, moving to Salford in 2021.
Liam is driven by contributions to film culture and is passionate about innovating production processes and sustainable practices.

Alfie Kovacs – Assistant Composer
Alfie is a music producer and musician based in Manchester. He is currently in his second year studying Creative Music Technology at the University of Salford.
During his time at Salford he has worked in a variety of disciplines, from singing and producing for an alt rock band to creating his own electronic music and DJing around the city.
Currently he is on placement with Factory International’s creative learning department, where he helps to plan and deliver arts workshops for schools across Greater Manchester. He is excited to be working with the Breaking Barriers team to bring a creative and authentic storytelling piece to the Salford area.

Hannah Bracegirdle -Assistant Sound Designer
Hannah is a freelance Sound Designer who enjoys working in a collaborative nature. She makes distinctive work bringing experience in recording, composing and world building through sound.
She graduated from The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2022.
Theatrical credits include: Sound Associate on Peak Stuff(ThickSkin).
Sound Designer on Taming of the Shrew and Blithe Spirit (HER Productions), Animal Farm (Litchfield Garrick), Spamalot (Thin Air Theatre Company USA), Identities (Close to Home Productions), Burning Down the Horse (Fishing for Chips), My Dear Aunty Nell (Camdens Peoples Theatre), Conversations we’ve never had, with people we will never be (Orange Moon Theatre) and Caligula and the Sea (The Vaults).
TV credits include: Sound Trainee on Series 12 & 13 of Waterloo Road (A BBC and Wall to Wall Production), Adolescence (Netflix) and House of Guinness (Netflix).
